(PRESS RELEASE) – SLUDTERA would like to inform interested persons in the Entrepreneurial and business community in St. Lucia, the Caribbean and Latin America, that the Pitch Presentation and Business Development Workshop for Startup Huddle St. Lucia presenters a success for facilitators.
The workshop was held on Wednesday October 17th 2018, from 9 am to 4:30 pm (AST), at the SBDC/SEDU Conference Room in Castries, St. Lucia.
The Workshop was facilitated by Ms. Justine Charles and Ms. Michelle Charles, members of the Public Service Toastmasters Club and Ms. Michelle N. Samuel of SLUDTERA who is also the Head Organizer/Team Leader of Startup Huddle St. Lucia.
Some of the topics which were presented on included;
-The Art of the Elevator Pitch
-What to Expect at Startup Huddle St. Lucia
-The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative Program (YLAI)
-The YLAI Network
-The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN Global)
-Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW)
In addition to listening to the presentations, the Entrepreneurs who participated in the workshop had to put into practice what they learned and did practice pitch presentations about their businesses which included their elevator pitch. Role play included the Toastmaster member team posing as potential investors, who provided feedback to the Entrepreneur presenters on their pitches.
Participants all commented that they had learned alot from this workshop and promised to put what they had learned into practice in preparation for their moment on stage in front of the expert panel, and the live and viewing audience at Startup Huddle St. Lucia.
The workshop was held for Entrepreneurs who would present at Startup Huddle St. Lucia in November 2018, December 2018, January 2019 and February 2019. The next workshop will be held in February 2019 for the next group of presenters.
