She was guest of honour at a dinner at the Vice-Chancellor’s residence, Mona, Jamaica, hosted by Sir Hilary and Lady Beckles, prior to her participation in her first Caribbean Community (CARICOM) meeting in the capacity of Prime Minister, July 4-6, 2018.

On Monday, July 2, 2018, prior to the start of the 39th Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Hilary Beckles and Lady Beckles hosted a dinner reception for Prime Minister of Barbados, the Honourable Mia Mottley at the official Vice-Chancellor’s residence in Mona, Kingston, Jamaica.
