A woman is now hopping mad after she discovered a cockroach in her roti this morning.

The roti was purchased in Castries city this morning.

The woman told St. Lucia News Online that she is planning to get a refund.

“I am so mad, disgusted,” she said. “And so many people go there. I was eating it already.”

  1. Do u all really think that it was the customers choice not to say the name of the business??? Its the media house, there could be legal implications for broadcasting such details; hence they safeguard themselves....smfh.

  5. I don't get the reason for not naming the establishment????? I mean really?? Wouldn't naming the place and exposing them ensure that they follow better health practices in future. It would also be a good example for other restaurants etc to follow good health measures when cooking. Who benefits by not naming the place????!!!! I don't buy food outdoors. I usually bring my lunch to work with me and when I don't have the time, I get some crackers and fruit/yogurt from the supermarket.

  6. Cook your own food at home. That place should be inspected by heath personnell in St. Lucian. These guys get food free so they turn a blind eye to whats really going on in these food joints. What a banch of crooked inspecters. they need to shut down lots of those food establishment around the island. what a shame smh.

  7. So what about the bbq chickens that fall to the ground, dirty drains and then placed back on the grills for u'all to eat? Which is worse? U'all eh even know wht u'all eating. This is just one example. All u have to do is prepare yr food at home. Only then u'll know what u'r eating.

  8. Everyone who wants to know where the roti was purchased intends to continue eating out except to avoid eating at that establishment if they knew where but the roaches are everywhere, so the safest practice is to avoid eating out everywhere.

  9. I thank God every day that I have food allergies and I don't buy food from people. Because were I in her shoes, I'm not looking for a refund. I'm suing the business and getting them shut down by the Min of Health... Again, I am so very happy for my food allergies

  11. I am not surprised, and it does not necessarily had to be cooked with the food. I went to buy a milk shake at a very popular restaurant on High St and whilst I am there waiting I saw cockroaches running on the machine. I told the attendant that and she took a towel and tried wiping them off. I demanded my money one time. Another instance was at Big Banana I saw a cockroach walking on the baked macaroni I told the attendant i dont want it again cos there's c roach walking on it. she apologized and removed the tray. The immediate people behind me told me i shud have just ignored the roach cos the food is still hot. I never bought food out again. Those instances were when I was studying and working so sometimes it was impossible to cook. The safest thing is to carry from home whatever u have it will save u money and health wise....

    • The immediate people behind me told me i shud have just ignored the roach cos the food is still hot. that piece of comment made me lmaoooooooo... the things people will tell u... cause they don't have pride in what they put inside their body and the health risk they put themselves in...

  14. Well as the last person who commentted.I believe the reason y the individual doesn't want to go public with the name of the place its maybe she put the cockroach their .or she does want to expose the business place cause she fears for her life.
