Petroleum product prices in St. Lucia continue on downward trend

Gas-Pump-blue-generic+flippedPRESS RELEASE – Saint Lucia now has the lowest retail price for unleaded gasoline in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU). This is pursuant to the latest adjustments occasioned by changes in the price of crude oil on the international market.

Consumers in Saint Lucia will pay less for both gasoline and diesel as of Monday, February 1, 2016.

Gasoline will be sold for $0.51 less, at $9.72 per gallon, representing a drop below the existing price in every member state of the ECCU.

Diesel will be sold for $0.06 less, at $9.07 per gallon. Based on the existing prices of petroleum products across the ECCU, that is the third-lowest in the ECCU.

The retail prices of kerosene and all classes of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) – 100lb, 22lb and 20lb cylinders – remain unchanged from the previous period.

Below is a schedule of the retail prices for petroleum products:

    • What does this has to do with Kenny ? As if to say food not expensive in America England and Canada. When St Lucians start growing what they eat and eat what they grow then everything will be alright. St Lucia does not produce gas or oil which means the government have to be OFF SETTING the real cost so everybody wont bawl but I guess you never or not looking at it that way. Good job Kenny.

      • Wasn't it because of the high price of fuel the price of food went up? Shouldn't the reverse happen now?
