

A middle-aged pedestrian is lucky to be alive after he was struck by a vehicle in Anse La Raye yesterday morning.
Marcellinus Leon of St. Lawrence, Anse La Raye was hit on St. Lawrence High Road by a pick-up (registration number PG8683) driven by Ambrose Darnell Bob of Town Extension, Soufriere.
Leon sustained an injured right leg.
The pickup sustained damages to its front bonnet.
The accident occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m.

I am very sorry to learn of this incident. However I drive through Anse La Raye every day, twice a day. Many persons in that village does not practice road safety. There is a pedestrian crossing and the only persons who use it are the animals (chickens and dogs) they seem to have good sense. Please note, I am not saying that this is the case with the gentle man
