Pedestrian killed by bus


POLICE PRESS RELEASE – 
The Traffic Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident, which occurred at La Toc road about 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014.

It is alleged that an omnibus driven by Louvey Osman of Grande Riviere, Dennery, was travelling along the La Toc road in the direction of Castries, when his vehicle and a pedestrian made contact. The pedestrian is known as one “Simon” originally of Saltibus.

Simon was transported to Victoria Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem examination is scheduled for a later date.

This is the 16th road fatal accident for 2014.

  1. This drivers condition should have been reported . The ppl who knew about it anf never spoke out should be ashamed and if ever found by the police during the investigation should be charged or arrested for they are in my view an accomplice

Do not blame the driver completely @ 4 am there isn't much traffic the individual should've being more aware when crossing street st lucian has bad practice guess what vehicles to not feel pain we should practice good crossing habit especially school children that guy who got killed on many occasions has being. Carrying a whole bay leaf tree crossing morne road where vehicle s had to slow down to allow to pass u could've hardly see the person all u see is a moving tree in the road cause s bay leaf tree has lots of leaves so i do not think any driver would intentionally killed anyone sum ppl like to critic to much the individual who said they knew he would kill some one should help him serve sum time if u he was so reckless u. Should've report it. Only when things happen your speaks !!!

  3. So who said that those accidents are not being investigated fully, or drivers are not charged when they hit pedestrians.

  4. Why did,nt someone report the driver,s inability to the authorities before.Now that he killed someone you are coming out saying it was a matter of time before he killed someone.

  6. i agree fully with AB,these "accidents" need to be fully investigated by the traffic dept and charges raised if necessary,the laws are there to be implemented,or is it just apathy by the law enforcers.

  7. It's time that Authourities begin to take "death by Moto-vehicle" more seriously and begin to charge motorist when found at fault with second degree murder.

    We cannot continue allowing this to be "JUST AN ACCIDENT" anymore.

  8. I board his bus once an the way he was driving I notice something was wrong,only to learn he couldn't see very well.days very risky.the law will have to do something about DAT.jail his a....s.

    • You wanted when someone was killed to put that silly comment, why couldn't you make a report stating that the driver cant see properly when you 1st realized it.
