Pavee man formally charged for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition

A Pavee man who was arrested on Tuesday, November 13 for a 9mm pistol and 13 live rounds of 9mm ammunition, has been formally charged.

Vaughn Jeremie, 25, was this afternoon, Wednesday, Nov. 14 charged with possession of an illegal firearm and possession of ammunition.

Police said in a press release that a combined unit of police officers conducted an operation exercise within the Castries basin on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at about 5 am, and the search was executed on Jeremie’s premises at 5:45 a.m.

The gun and ammunition were discovered by the lawmen during the search, the press release said.

Jeremie is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.
