Parent of Beanfield student expresses concern over Common Entrance issue (letter)

Dear Editor: I am an irate parent of a grade six child.

On Friday (May 11, 2018) we were fed with some disappointing news about our students’ Common Entrance choices in districts 5 and 6. It was said that due to space insufficiency, Beanfield Comprehensive Secondary School isn’t able to accommodate the new form ones, so now we are being forced to make adjustments to the choices and select choices that we aren’t pleased with.

I ask of the minister of education to at least construct a wooden extension like the ‘ole’ days to accommodate the students.

We were promised an extension of a wooden structure two years ago at a meeting to accommodate the new students at the Beanfield Secondary.

We need answers since Common Entrance is only a month away and this can’t seen to be left unresolved.
