Police said 8,275 fully grown marijuana plants have been destroyed after the drug was discovered on four plantations at Grace, Vieux Fort.
According to a police press release, the eradication was part of several operations carried out at Grace, Vieux Fort and McDiamed, Laborie on Friday, Oct. 19 by officers attached to the southern division of the Drug Unit, Special Services Unit and the Task Force.
Police said they also eradicated 180 fully grown plants on a plantation at McDiamed, Laborie.
