Ohio fugitive who sent replacement mugshot photo to police is caught in Florida

By New York Daily News

fugitive13n-1-webNEW YORK DAILY NEWS – This fugitive has a new mug shot to add to his photo collection.

Donald “Chip” Pugh was captured in the Florida panhandle Tuesday, days after he taunted Lima, Ohio authorities when he skipped a court appearance.

Pugh, 45, sent authorities a suave selfie from his life on the lam after cops put out a warrant for his arrest.

“Here is a better photo that one is terrible,” the fugitive told authorities, disparaging a previous mugshot shared by police.

The new snap may have been Pugh’s downfall. News of his brazen action quickly went viral nationwide and he was caught Tuesday after cops got near the Alabama border.

“Hows this photo Donald Pugh?” the arresting agency, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, wrote in a Facebook post displaying the fugitive’s new mug shot in which he’s smiling. “Maybe that selfie helped people identify you better?”
