Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) must mobilise large sums of money if it is to address the challenges confronting its nine member countries.

“And that is where we call on our development partners to appreciate the challenges with which we are confronted,” Skerrit told the opening ceremony of the 59th meeting of the OECS Authority on Saturday.

  2. Its another appeal for a bail-out. I am sure your bailors will now be asking; what happened to the funds you had before? Where are the reserves you have collected during your seemingly care free years of prosperity.

The people when called on to pay this bail-out will be asking; What happen to your promise of better days? What happened when you said that you were doing well while showing how your political opponents had done badly? Why were you telling us that there was economic growth (main form of contension at election) when we were telling you we are not feeling it and is probably being filtered to you and your friends?

All of these questions will have to be answered if we have to cough up moneys but albeit not to the same beggars.
