PRESS RELEASE – The National Workers Union (NWU) is at an advanced stage in preparing for its Annual Congress.

The 2016 Annual Congress of Delegates will be held on June 24, 2016 at the Royal by Rex Resorts at Reduit Beach, Gros Islet. Over one hundred (100) delegates from about eighty (80) operational units throughout the country will participate in the day’s event.

The theme of this year’s Congress is “Trade Unions must defend economic and social benefits won by the Trade Union Movement”.

The Guest Speaker will be Hon. Jennifer Baptiste-Primus, Minister for Labour and Small Enterprise Development of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The NWU will make available to the Press a more detailed programme at a later date.
