NWU builds capacity among its members

(PRESS RELEASE) – About thirty (30) rank and file members of the National Workers Union (NWU) will be meeting Wednesday March 11, 2020 at the John Burke King Industrial Academy at UNITY HOUSE, Sans Souci to participate in a One Day Orientation Seminar.

As New Shop Stewards join the front line of trade union involvement it is important to help build capacity within the organization. The Presentations will focus on:

History of the NWU & Importance of Union Representation
Roles and Responsibilities of Shop Stewards/Employee Representatives
Union Financing and Operational Costs

The Seminar is being sponsored by the National Workers Union from its NWU Education Fund. Presentations will be from NWU Officials and Mr. Clement Prospere, Accountant/Trade Unionist.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on the 2nd Floor, UNITY HOUSE, Sans Souci, the new home of the National Workers Union.
