NWU and Blue Waters sign agreement: workers to get wage increase and back pay

(PRESS RELEASE) — The management of Blue Waters (St. Lucia) Ltd and the National Workers Union (NWU) signed their first industrial agreement today, Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

The official ceremony took place at the Department of Labour at which the leadership of the NWU, shop steward and management of the company affixed their signatures to the new industrial accord.

Workers will receive a ten percent general wage increase, spread in the manner: four percent in year one and three percent in years two and three, respectively.

Workers will receive a back pay effective July 2016 along with other industrial provisions.

The last time there was a strike yall got so vex because people fighting for their rights and yall want to be vex when people join the union. if employers were fair then people would not have to join the union. yall just using people and want to take them for papisho
