NOTICE: WASCO water schedule for Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016

wasco2PRESS RELEASE – The level of Reservoir at John Compton Dam has been recorded at 332.9 feet today, February 4th, 2016. This represents 0.1 feet decrease level which was recorded yesterday February 3rd, 2016.

Level at the same date last year February 4th, 2015 was 332.9 feet.

The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) wishes to advise of actions and schedule for communities in the Northern part of the island for today Thursday 04th February 2016

Network News

  • Fond Cannie and Cacoa were supplied yesterday.
  • Lower Ti- Chemin, Fond Assau, Chassin, Cabiche, Talvern & Hill 20 were supplied and are currently being supplied.
  • La Borne was supplied yesterday and is still being supplied.
  • Desrameaux, Ti Dauphin, Ravine Macok and environs was supplied yesterday.
  • Plateau was supplied yesterday
  • Upper Monier from Fostin development to Plateau Pump house was supplied yesterday
  • Paix Bouche was supplied yesterday.
  • Boguis was supplied yesterday
  • Savanne En Haut was supplied yesterday
  • Desableau was supplied yesterday
  • La Guerre was supplied yesterday

Critical Actions for Today February 4th, 2016
The under listed communities will be supplied today.

All other communities are being served, whilst we will maintain the supply of water to the aforementioned areas, there may be inconsistencies due to demand or damages which may occur on the lines. WASCO ….water is life! Committed to meeting customers’ needs.

2. SOUFRIERE SYSTEM

  • Ruby: In operation
  • Fond St. Jacques 1: In operation; due to extremely low flows valving is done; water supply is still being interrupted to customers on elevation in the Ravine Claire and Toraille areas. Therefore, extra valving will be done to accommodate customers from these areas.
  • Fond St. Jacques 2: In operation
  • Diamond 1: In operation
  • Diamond 2: In operation
  • Bouton: In operation

NB: CONFIRMATION FROM AREA SUPERVISOR THAT CUSTOMERS DO RECEIVE A WATER SUPPLY WHEN VALVING IS BEING DONE OFF THE FOND ST JACQUES #1 SYSTEM

3. CHOISEUL SYSTEM

  • Delcer: NO WATER OFF THAT SYSTEM; Currently under investigation; Crew is walking the cross country main to identify possible leaks)
  • Saltibus Upper: In operation
  • Saltibus Lower: In operation
  • Toucousson: In operation

4. VIEUX FORT SYSTEM

  • Grace: In operation (Grace 3’3”, Augier 9’)
  • Beausejour: System closed; All areas are being supplied off Grace

5. MICOUD

  • Micoud Primary system: In operation
  • Patience: In operation (NB: Low pressure; Low pressure; Dry spell-like being experience off that system from 01/02/16).
  • Belle Vue: In operation
  • Desruisseaux: In operation (NB: Low pressure; Dry spell-like conditions being experience off that system, from 02/02/16)

6. DENNERY

  • Errard: In operation
  • Thomazo: In operation
  • Aux Lyon: In operation; valving being done to supply areas with water
  • Derniere Riviere: In operation (NB: Low supply at the intake)
