Police appeals for help after weekend shootings


No one has been arrested in connection with three separate non-fatal shooting incidents which occurred in the Castries basin over the weekend.

According to police, all three victims were hospitalised and are in stable condition.

The first incident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, July 4, and involved 20-year-old Quain Jn Louis of Leslie Land, Castries. He sustained multiple gunshots to the body whilst on Chausee Road, Castries.

The second happened at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday (July 5) when unknown person/persons fired several shots in the Fond Le Grand area. As a result, 51-year-old Michael Gustave of Fond Le Grand, Castries sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The third shooting took place on Sunday, July 6, at about 8:30 p.m. Several shots were discharged in the Leslie Land area. As a result, Mary Claudia Francis of La Toc, Castries sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has appealed to individuals who may have information on any of the shootings to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at telephone number 456-3770.

Is like everybody owns a firearm now, badboys getting bolder, and it seems the popo getting older, police to busy chasing young girls (proven fact i already see them with their guns wining on the young misfortune ladies, no names will be mentioned cuz they know theirself) sad to see they cant crack a case but can crack your skull innocently, they are uneducated for their line of work, unprofessional to have a profession, unreliable, unqualified, and greatly underskilled cuz they cannot apprehend anybody without shooting them (innocently) police are a waste so civilians take it into their own hands, and more and more people are coming to that realisation, so till the slackers actually come to work, the civilians will do the work for them like it or not

These guys are shooters or Missers?...hmmm you mean to tell me all these wasted shots & it took 2innocent ppl?(I eh know if the 20yr old was innocent or not).How these guys missing their targets like that or are they missing deliberately?...That makes no sense,I mean creep on your enemy in a "slick" way instead of starting to fire from by your home "wasting shots" & by the time you get by your enemies they run already.....Not 1 mun dead? Choops I give up,just put down dem guns or give them away,go to father Quinlan for forgiveness for shooting innocent ppl because yourll mun eh ready yet.(Not one enemy shot in 3 days of shooting?) choops....Dat war is getting BORING yawn!!!   4. RSLPF do your job and set up an operation to catch these shooters. This is not the wild Wild West work so the government will reconsider taking that 5%. A safer Saint Lucia.

  6. The sad thing about all this is we have a Minister of Home Affairs who tend to have his eyes closed or his just not saying anything, what a shame Mr. Minister.......Do your job or get out.
