– Live Bass by Terrace Brown

– Back ground Vocals by: Danielle Ayla Du Bois, Finella Leon,  Trisha Hamilton

Jonathan Ninja Dan XD St. Rose was born on the 31st of December, 1978 to Theresa St. Rose and Theophilus Mc Gowan.

He grew up in Bagatelle, Castries and attended the Marchand Combined Primary school and went on to complete his Secondary Education at the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School (1990-1995).

Ninja Dan says he takes his inspiration for music and writing from his daily life, present and past, his people, his fans and his interactions and their stories uplift him and help shape his thoughts and music.

He started performing at secondary school, he was known as the class clown, beating drums and free styling between classes and sometimes he would perform for teachers and the entire school.

In 2002 his soca journey started with the recording and release of “Karate” and moving on to release other popular hits like “Outside Man”, “Brown Skin” and “Labouwaye”. Over the years he competed at the groovy and power soca monarchs, often placing in the top 3.

In 2007, he captured his first crown with the song “Rise” at the Caribbean Soca Monarch Competition. The popularity and positive message of Rise led to the formation of Rise St. Lucia Inc. This organisation has led several campaigns against crime and have successfully organised educational opportunities for Saint Lucians.

Together with the formation of Rise St. Lucia Inc, Ninja believes that his greatest achievement is also the creation of NG SOCA STAGE.

New Generation Soca Stage was created as a movement to bring young, upcoming artistes together and offer them a platform to perform. NG SOCA STAGE was the first tent to only cater to Groovy and Power Soca Music. This really lead to a change in the music arena and also the sound of our St. Lucian soca product.

For the future, Ninja is looking to return to the Soca scene to complete the mission he started. He is back in the studio looking forward to bringing back the authentic Ninja sound and positive messages in soca music.
