An elderly pedestrian was among two people who suffered minor injuries in a motor vehicle accident in Agard, Morne Dun Don, Castries on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, according to officials.

Reports are that a minibus, which was being driven by Rohan Joseph, 49, smashed into a shed and grazed 82-year-old pedestrian Michael Bowen who was standing nearby, before plunging down a precipice, shortly after 7 a.m.

Brake failure was cited as the cause of the accident, according to officials.

The elderly man sustained minor injuries while the driver sustained a possible dislocated shoulder.

Both were transported by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in stable condition.
