A man sustained a broken left leg after his bike collided with a garbage truck in Bexon on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, according to reports.

The injured motorcyclist has been identified as Robert Mitchel, 49, of Bexon.

The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m.

Mitchel was transported by ambulance to Victoria Hospital in stable condition.

    • I was taking it easy as f and a drunk dude still hit me. Moral of the story is that laws need to be enforced and the court system need to work swiftly to prosecute those that deliberately infringe on others' right to life.

I was just behind him when this happened, he overtook me recklessly and I remarked to my passenger he is going far too fast, next thing as I rounded the corner he was laying in the road, his wrist was almost severed but luckily he was wearing leathers and a helmet and was concious so I knew he would be OK. People watch your speed, and drivers look for bikes.
