

The event was initially scheduled for Tuesday, July 9 but was postponed due to the tropical storm warning.
In a statement to the media on Thursday, July 11, Tyronne Harris, event coordinator and Cultural Development Foundation officer, said he looks forward to a “very energetic and exciting” event next week Thursday, July 18 at the National Cultural Centre.
Gates open at 8 p.m. and the show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
“Tickets for the original show will be honoured on the rescheduled night. Tickets for the show are $30 and $25 in advance, and are still on sale at ticket outlets: Steve’s Barbershop and Sunshine Bookshop,” the statement said.
Twelve contestants from 11 commercial houses will be participating in this year’s event.

The Inter-Commercial House Calypso, launched in 2002, is part of the Lucian Carnival celebrations.
