PRESS RELEASE – The semi-finals of the third Annual National Lotteries Debate Competition takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Vieux-Fort South will face Babonneau at the Post Secondary School (formerly Campus A) while defending champions Gros-Islet will debate Soufriere at the Anse La Raye Parish Hall, to battle for a spot in the finals.
The topic to be debated is: “Government financing of temporary employment creation programmes has been ineffective in addressing social and economic issues in St. Lucia.”
Both debates commence at 4 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged to come out to support the young debaters.
The NLA debate competition is being held in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and the National Youth Council.
