National football team names players for WIFF Tournament

PRESS RELEASE – The Saint Lucia National Senior Team leaves the island on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 for Dominica, to participate in the annual Windward Islands Football Federation Tournament, which will be held from April 28 – May 5, 2014 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Dominica.

The team will be led by Vice President of SLFA Kendel Emmanuel, Technical Director Cyril Podd, Head Coach Francis Lastic, Assistant Coach Anthony Jn Baptiste and Manager Anthony Evans.

Three of SLFA’s FIFA officials will also be participating in the games namely: Referee Leo Clarke, Referee Vivian Robinson and Assistant Referee Andrew Phillip.

The team shall play in the following matches:

Dominica vs. St. Lucia – Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Grenada vs. St. Lucia – Friday, May 2, 2014 at 5 p.m.
St. Lucia vs. St. Vincent – Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 5 p.m.

Whats about soccer players from the south of the island these coaches from gros-islet and Castries plus their technical staff should ply their trade in another field but not a soccer field we have better players in the south than the north when last did the national team coach travel to the south to see a soccer we know st.lucia is just the north waiting to the results of the games.


  2. Whats about footballers from the south of the island theses Northern coaches and technical staff shoula apply their trade in some other field but not on a football field.
