

That decision was unanimously agreed upon on December 12, 2012 when the NWU held its final Central Committee Meeting for 2012.
Myers will now be one of the front-line negotiators for the organisation and will also deal with other matters of an industrial relations nature undertaken by the union.
Myers, who is the holder of a masters degree in industrial relations and human resource management from the University of Toronto and a bachelor of arts degree in labour studies and sociology from York University, is the first woman to assume that level of position in the National Workers Union.
