(SNO) — Mary Williams, the mother of slain government accountant Kimberly Williams-De Leon, is running out of patience and is getting frustrated with the pace of investigations into her daughter’s death.

Mary, also known as Phillipa, told HTS News that she has made up her mind to put her “neck on the guillotine” to get justice for her daughter.

“I need justice for my daughter and I will fight to the end,” she told HTS.

Mary has returned to Saint Lucia from the United States in an effort to ensure her daughter’s case does not join the many other cold cases on island.

According to her, she was “sitting down” but now she is “standing up” and “shaking my feathers”. She said the time has come to stand up and rally for justice.

Mary is particularly concerned that the long-overdue forensic results are still pending.

“Why does results have to be posted to you, as opposed to officers picking it up? … What if it gets lost, what if it gets tampered with?…. I am very concerned,” she said, regarding the manner in which the results are expected to be received by the authorities.

She alleged in the HTS interview that the investigating officer, assigned to her daughter’s case, has been ignoring her for the past two months.

“He has been avoiding me for whatever reason… I don’t know…. I am not afraid to say it,” she said, alleging that the officer is always finding an excuse whenever she tries to meet with him.

De Leon, a mother of two, was gunned down in her home at Chef Harry Drive, The Morne in Castries on Oct. 29, 2018.  She died from a single gunshot wound to the head, according to the post-mortem. Her children were at home at the time of the shooting but were unharmed.

De Leon, an accountant in the Ministry of Education, was 42 years old.

Her ex-husband, a senior cop, was a person of interest in the case, but not a suspect, according to police officials.

It is publicly known that De Leon and her husband were before the courts regarding custody of their children. It is also known that the couple were involved in domestic disputes that reached the police station.

Kimberly’s mother told HTS that she seldom spoke to her son-in-law.

When asked by the HTS reporter if there was violence in her daughter’s relationship, Mary responded: “There was both physical and verbal.”

Asked how regular was this physical and verbal altercations, MaAry said “not that regular, but a couple of times”. She added that whenever her daughter and her ex-husband had arguments “she would call me and let me know”.

She said whenever the ex-husband “would start an argument” Kimberly “would call and put it on speaker” so she would hear.

Mary alleged in the HTS interview that Kimberly was “deprived of seeing her children for two weeks” and that she lost her life “because she wanted to go with her children, she didn’t want to leave them behind”.

Mary, who claims she is unable to sleep well since her daughter’s murder, is calling on the authorities or the investigating officer to reach out to her to “speak to me, don’t give me one story now and give me another later”.

  1. This case is a ticking time bomb, trust me. When it explodes I believe the very foundation of St.Lucia shall be shaken. It will certainly expose alot of things which have happened in our recent history. I thought I heard on the news that the FBI would be down here assisting in this investigation. I also heard the COP on the news saying they do not necessarily require the help of the FBI. From that time I smell a rat. U have nothing when it comes to forensics and u getting an investigations mappippi to assist u and u down playing it? By the way apart from the firearm testing, I want to know wat happen to the footage from the camera in the pole where the suspect parked his vehicle which he ran to after fleeing the scene. Ms William's they will give u a hard time because u have alot of information that is necessary for their investigation but they refuse to take from u. It is clear that they are attempting to frustrate u to the point of giving up. Please stay strong and endure it will be worth it. St.Lucians please support her. This is a case of Botham Jean's magnitude. Where is the love? We once sounded as if everyone of us would go up to Dallas to demonstrate in support of our very promising and kind hearted brother. This is in our backyard and we express very little concern or agitation over untimely death of this very humble sister in the tranquillity of her home with her two loving kids. Come on St.Lucia! Do u have standards, how far will u let injustice go before u take that bold stand?

  2. I think it's unfair that the police are investigating one of their own if that pattern continue then the best thing is to have a private investigator because the delay in results is a game playing to push this murder under the rug no way this one will happen enough is enough give the mother the information and stop giving her the run around. You guys know the individual who killed her he is still collecting a salary. We are waiting for the report from the police mr commissioner let the truth be known.Justice for kim

  5. These police weak like next week and the week after, you will never get justice. They don’t know how to conduct a proper investigation, they don’t pay attention to phone records in 2019 etc, etc... and let’s say they manage to pull it off and apprehend the criminal ( it will be a miracle) . You have another big hurdle to climb in the criminal justice system because all these judges give criminals a slap on the wrist. They probably forget about Kimberly already, cold case on ice!

  8. It’s very sad for a parent to go through such pain and knowing that she is looking for Justice for her one and only and there goes a Blind Eye on our Police Force. It’s a shame to see how the Justice System in St Lucia works. A member of the force is her Ex Husband, come on people don’t we see the missing Puzzle. There is one Judge for sure that will condem that person and he is God the Almighty. You know what and how you did your crime in the dark but God’s eyes can see you and one day you will pay. Mom God will bring Justice for your pain and suffering, have faith and keep on praying.

  9. How is it taking so long to solve that case. To me it's a pretty easy case to solve. One needs to find out what motive there could've possibly be for someone to violently murder this lady in cold blood. Everything points to a certain individual but because is high society people things staying behind the curtain. That case needs to be investigated meticulously by a private investigator in order to bring justice to this innocent woman.

    • So true they know who the killer is it's one their own

      (15)(1)
      • Oh yes we all know who did it. for months he was trying to find a just course for Kimberley not to have custody. he tried everything to discredit her just for her not to have joint custody. He cheated on her for years with many female police officers. Treated her like trash. There are many motives by this one man who who wanted her dead, just because she was tied of the abuse. the insults, the ill treatment, the constant pain and suffering for almost a decade. There is enough to arrest this abuser. DDP and law enforcers it is time to take a stand based on over whelming evidence. Take the right action for once in you all career. Put him away before he kills another innocent person. This guy is armed and dangerous and wanted to kill more than 15 people. He has killed one already. Arrest this guy and save other people who may be murdered under this mental demon possessed frick.

        • If a man can file a false report against the mother of his children for sexually abusing one of her children. Good lord what else he cannot do. The motive was clear from since when he reported Kim last year march 2018. Kim went to all the authorities, from the commissioner, to police complaints unit, to counselor, pastor, lawyer, to CID, the high court, and tried everything to protect her and her children. In my opinion the system failed Kim and they are to be blamed for her untimely death. She did everything to protect this man from harming her and her children. It is time to get this murderer off the streets. Lock him up, Prevent him from harming any other person before he strikes again.
