Found: Joseph Emmanuel

A 73-year-old-man who went missing on Sunday, August 19 at about 12 noon was found alive by police today, August 22 at about 11:20 a.m.

An official of the Babonneau Police Station confirmed that Joseph Emmanuel was found under a log, at about 15 degrees incline.

The official told St. Lucia News Online (SNO) that Emmanuel was in a weak state and was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

The official said the police had joined with members of the community to conduct a search for Emmanuel.

  1. I urge people who are caring and those who probably will do so, to get educational materials on caring for the aged. I did when my Mom was getting to such stage and I had to care for her. We had a wonderful time during her final years. Please she was the typical old age but, I was able to understand and deal with the situation. Do try it.

  2. I would like to say a hearty thank you to the police especially from the Babonneau Police Station for their persistence. I realize none of the comments above had made mention of them. but that not how its been in the past days. only when things are sour we make notice and share dirty remarks.

    • Why he left may have nothing to do with treatment but, the state of mind. Remember he is getting a bit old and sometimes confused. I don't know your parents age but you will find out when/if you choose to care for them during their old age. Waitttttttttttt.

  5. i wonder why he left sometimes these elderly ppl gives trouble and their kids dont have the patience to deal with them and sometimes they even get abused so dont mind all of them coming out and crying and all tht shate half of them never cared #justsaying

    • miracles still happen, I do believe in it. I am so happy for this man. The family was strong and in unity at the time looking for him.
