(PRESS RELEASE) – The staff and students of the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School will be hosting its 2nd annual Ms SCSS pageant, on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017.
The event is slated to take place at the Soufriere Mini Stadium from 3 pm and is opened to the public. Tickets are $15 students and $20 adults.
Five beautiful contestants, students of the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School, will parade their talents in hopes of earning the title of ‘Miss SCSS 2017.’
The Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School has been in existence for the past 46 years as the only secondary school in District Eight (8), serving initially students from Canaries, Choiseul, Piaye and Soufriere. The institution was established in 1970 as a Junior Secondary School, and upgraded to Comprehensive Secondary status in 1978.
Over the years, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School has faithfully met the needs of students in the District in the disciplines of academics and sports. The school has continuously excelled in the areas of debating, netball, cricket, basketball, track and field, and home economics. Proceeds from the event will go towards school improvement projects and purchase of laptops for instruction.
