Miss Independence Pageant set for February 16th, 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) – As part of the Saint Lucia’s 39th Independence Anniversary Celebration the Independence Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice, Empowerment, Youth Development, Sports, Culture and Local Government will be hosting a Miss Independence Pageant on the Friday February 16th, 2018 from 7:30 p.m. at the National Cultural Centre.

The Ministry’s support for the pageant is driven by its commitment to social development through positive cultural activities and the pageant exemplifies that.

The pageant will see the participation of nine beautiful and talented young ladies who will compete for the title of Miss Independence 2018.

The show will feature five segments: Swimwear, Talent, Costume, Evening Wear, and Interview.

The participants are as follows:

 Miss Bernell St. Rose – Soufriere

 Miss Kaysia Verneuil – Laborie

 Miss Kurnisha Augustus – Dennery

 Miss Alisha Wells – Gros Islet

 Miss Earlyca Ferderick – Choiseul

 Miss Estherline Augustin – Micoud North

 Miss Shanic Hippolyte – Anse La Raye

 Miss Kiana Nicholas – Vieux Fort South

 Miss Dariah Noel – Castries
