Miss Curves with Confidence Pageant to be held in Soufriere next month

(PRESS RELEASE) — The much anticipated, third annual Miss Curves with Confidence is here!

The foundation received national recognition for its successful hosting of the Curves with Confidence Pageant. The Pageant is a fund-raiser designed to elevate the self-esteem and personal empowerment and independence of full-bodied women.

Further, the pageant is designed to reverse the negative effects of social media with respect to body-shaming and inspire full-figured women on a national level to understand the importance of self-esteem and loving oneself.

In 2017 and 2018, the event was successful in providing school supplies and other necessary goods to 80 children within the two years.

In 2019, the Foundation aims to assist more than 100 underprivileged children.

The Alexander Family Foundation & Events (AFFE) proudly present: The Fierce Five – Curves with a difference!! This year AFFE have decided to add a twist, where the ladies will be representing their districts and sponsors.

The show will carry out five segments: introduction, talent, creative lingerie, evening wear and interview.

The show will be held on May 11, 2019 at the Morne Coubaril Estate in Soufriere from 7:30 p.m. and hosted by MC Donerville.

Admission: $50; tickets outlets: Purity Bakery AKA Ma Curby, the contestants and AFFE members.

  1. Why are we glorifying Obesity and unhealthy lifestyles? Is this some kinda sick joke? St.Lucia is the 2nd most unhealthy country in the world and we are hosting a fat pageant? Thats Insane....
