Minister of Health and Gender Relations Alvina Reynolds said she would like to celebrate the contributions men have made in the development of their families, communities and Saint Lucia as a whole.

“I call on our brothers in this country to reflect on the situation confronting men and women. I think I would like to encourage conversation to happen among men to see how we can work towards having a more peaceful society.”

International Men’s Day (IMD) is an annual international event celebrated on 19 November.

The objectives of celebrating an International Men’s Day include focusing on men’s and boys’ health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, and highlighting positive male role models.

It is an occasion to highlight discrimination against men and boys and to celebrate their achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to community, family, marriage, and child care.

The broader and ultimate aim of the event is to promote basic humanitarian values.

  1. GOT JOBS??????

    GOT WELFARE???????

THEN GET GOING OR GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. International Men’s Day is an important opportunity for celebration. An opportunity for men to express and show solidarity to their fellow men both at home and internationally, and embrace their manhood in all its diversity: heterosexuality, bisexual, homosexuality and transgender male.

    My prayer to all men

Let the hearts of men be filled with compassion and brotherly love. As custodians, may they be good role models for boys springing into manhood.

Women make a big deal of International Women’s Day with party events, the works! It is a time to extend their hands to their sisters at home and globally.

if International Men’s Day has passed, then Big Up for next year - reach in and reach out!
