Families whose homes were lost in the June 1 fire in Micoud were presented with donations from the Micoud UK Committee on Saturday, August 1.
Each of the affected households received cheques that were presented by Kimhia Toussaint.
Micoud North MP Dr. Gale Rigobert, thanked Micoudians and Toussaint for assisting the fire victims.
The Saint Lucy’s steel band was present at the ceremony to entertain those in attendance.
A fire had ripped through the community, destroyed four homes and left eleven people homeless.
