The St. Lucia Meteorological Office is advising residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides, to remain vigilant since the grounds are already saturated.

Voters are also being urged to be vigilant for flooded areas and some moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms during the next several hours.

A tropical wave is producing cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles. Another tropical wave located over the far Eastern Atlantic is moving westward near 15 mph or 24 km/h.

There have been reports that some communities have already been affected by the heavy storm.
