The St. Lucia Meteorological Office is advising residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides, to remain vigilant since the grounds are already saturated.
A tropical wave is producing cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles. Another tropical wave located over the Central Atlantic is moving westward near 12 mph or 19 km/h.
Small craft operators and sea bathers are also advised to exercise caution due to locally rough seas.
These systems began affecting the Lesser Antilles late Thursday, and continued throughout the weekend.
Mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, according to the Met Office.
Saint Lucia is currently being affected by a trough system which has caused poor visibility and flooding in various parts of the island. Widespread flooding was recorded in several communities across the island in the past few days.
