The St. Lucia Meteorological Office is advising residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides, to remain vigilant since the grounds are already saturated.

A tropical wave is producing cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms over the region. Another tropical wave located over the Central Atlantic is moving westward near 20 mph or 31 km/h.

Mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, according to the Met Office.

Flooding has been recorded in some communities.

  1. Is that the storm 'Nicole'? I am baffled by that system, it's been there (nearly in the same spot) for maybe a week spinning like a top, hardly moving.
