

MacGuyver Mathurin, Sortheland Montoute, Mel Ann Rudolphe and Kemal are jointly charged with uttering/using false documents. The men are between 18 and 23 years old.
According to reports, the men attempted to cash $12,640 worth of checks on 10 separate incidents over eight days (from Nov. 27, 2011-Dec. 4, 2011).
Mathurin attempted to cash a cheque of $1,650 at the Bank of St Lucia, Bridge Street branch and a total of $2,525 on two separate occasions at First National Bank.
Co-defendants Montoute, Rudolphe and Walter also attempted to defraud the First National Bank Exchange Counter at the Georges Charles International Airport with seven fraudulent cheques totaling $8,465.
The defendants are currently on bail.
The case was adjourned to Jan. 29, 2013.
