Complainant Claude Yarde on Tuesday opted to try mediation in his case against Leroy William who allegedly pointed a firearm at him during a stone-throwing fracas in their community of Ti Rocher, Castries on June 30, 2012.
Several charges and counter charges are currently in court in which both men appear either as claimant or defendant. These cases all stem from the same incident of June 30, 2012 in which William is said to have pointed a firearm at Yarde who retaliated by throwing stones. Both men were detained by police.
Mediation in the current matter of unlawful assault was successful. William has agreed to be bonded to keep the peace for a period of two years or in default pay $2,000 or spend three months at Bordelais.
It remains to be seen if the other cases related to these incidents will end similarly.
