A 24-year-old man who has been missing for almost two weeks has returned home unhurt.

The Gros Islet Police Station confirmed on Monday, May 19 that Kerry Marius returned home around 7 p.m. that night.

Kerry Marius, from Marisule, Gros Islet was reported missing by his family on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at about 11 p.m. Six days after, police disseminated a press statement seeking the public’s assistance on Marius’ whereabouts.

Sources close to the man’s family told Saint Lucia News Online (SNO) that he may have been in Martinique, but did not provide an explanation to his family, as to where he was all this time.

The day he went missing, Marius had told his girlfriend that he was in Dennery.

His relatives later filed a missing person’s report with the police, after he was not seen for more than 48 hours.

Relatives were concerned that he might be in trouble, especially since a few persons had gone missing most recently and was later found dead.

On Tuesday, April 15, 2014, a man’s body was discovered near the Marisule Beach. Police told media that the deceased was found by a passerby at about 2:30 p.m. and appeared to have been covered.

  2. ok as far as I can see he is grown, he may have told his family he is going to dennery but went to Martinique on his own vibes. he isn't a teenager and I don't think he owes anyone anything. I think his family members jumped on the bandwagon of missing ppl to draw attention to themselves.

  5. Young man, good to hear that you're safe, but you have alot of explaining to do. You owe the press, police and the people of st. Lucia an explanation. Whether or not you tell your family about your whereabouts is really not my problem.

  6. People of St. Lucia stop confusing yourselves. If a young man that is not normally missed is missing then there is always a cause for concerned. This chap may well have been accustomed to be missing or the nature of his work would be informative. Dennery-Martinique-missing???

Stop pissing in your own eyes in the name of politics. Haven't the politicians done that enough?

  7. Why is everything politicize now

Why do we put politics in everything. How is Kenny responsible? The young man should let his family know where he was.

  8. People the young guy is back. The caption says "Missing Marisule man returns home and UNHURT"... What's puzzling is that he cant even say why he was missing for so long. Something is puzzling about that.

  10. So, to the UWP people who keep saying all these things about "making deal with the devil", your belief in God is really weak! Imagine the "devil" put Labour in power over the "UWP believers". How pathetic is this? Do y'all really believe that crap that you are spewing? And y'all have Estephane in the house talking that same shi__t!

  11. I just can't understand . . . . WHAT HAVE YÖU PEOPLE BEEN READING? The article states "A 24-year-old man who has been missing for almost two weeks has returned home unhurt".

Why are some so focused on saying that he is missing (based on the comments)? I can very well imagine (again based on the comments) these UWP people want to see him and others stay missing and not found. Why? Politics! I just don't get it.

We should just be thankful that the young man is back home safely.
