A man is seeking the public’s help to raise $60,000 to assist his father undergo a bypass surgery.
William Thomas told the media that his father, Wigbert Thomas, 70, has already suffered several heart attacks. William said he is afraid his father could die.
William admitted that it will be tough to raise the funds for his father given the current economic challenges. However, he plans on pooling together his money and donations from others to offset his father’s surgery.
“He is basically bed-ridden because he cannot walk far and most of the daily stuff my mother have to do that for him,” he told sections of the media.
William said last year the family raised $15,000 to unblock Wigbert Thomas arteries, but he needs additional medical procedures.
Wigbert is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of St. Jude Hospital.
The family has opened an account at the Bank of Saint Lucia to facilitate those wishing to come to their aid financially. The account number is 422222761.
