Man remanded in custody after stabbing death in Babonneau

Murder accused, Kurtly Cadette, 34, today (Monday) made an appearance at the First District court where he was remanded in custody for the death of Talvern, Babonneau resident Elie Mathurin.

On Wednesday, November 30, 2016 about 3:40 a.m. Mathurin succumbed to injuries sustained during an altercation with Cadette on Saturday, November 26, 2016 about 2:00 a.m. at Fond Assau, Babonneau.

The murder accused was on Friday, December 2, 2016 charged with causing death.

Cadette is expected to make another court appearance on January, 27, 2017.

  1. This is real crazy, this a person we hope came into your facility ER room complaining about he being beat up by some sob and you have him sitting in a uncomfortable wheelchair. Why was wasen'the person be on a gurney in their room and being examine by the er doctor. That's a law suit. Sue that pants off of those docs/ error nurse

    • If st Lucia lawsuits stood their grounds alot of deaths in hospitasl wouldnt happen alot of people die at hospitals where they suppose stand a chance of survival. Pure example here this man is seating in a chair where he was obviously in critical condition Rip.. wish slu would wake up sighs
