Man charged for ‘having sex with sofa’

Forty-six-year-old Gerald Streator a hotel worker of a Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA address was arrested and charged for having sex with an abandoned sofa, after a police officer filed a criminal complaint against him.

According to the criminal complaint, the accused was seen having sex with the sofa by an off-duty police officer on September 4 while jogging in the area.

The off-duty officer spotted Streator on the sofa “thrusting his hips as if he was having sex with a person”. The officer observed that there was no one else on the sofa and asked the accused what he was doing, which caused the 46-year-old man to run away from the area.

The officer chased him down to an apartment complex at North University and contacted the police department, where he discovered Streator’s name.

Police contacted the accused the following day, where Treator denied any knowledge of the incident, however he was arrested and charged with one count of lewd and lascivious behaviour and now faces up to nine months in prison and £7,000 in fines.

Streator is scheduled to face the court on October 1.
