LPM congratulates new UWP leader Allen Chastanet

LPM leader Therold Prudent

Leader of the Lucian People’s Movement (LPM) Therold Prudent has congratulated Allen Chastanet on his elevation to leader of the United Workers Party, noting that the policy of the LPM is to never consider its political rivals to be enemies.

“We in the LPM will never allow policy differences on how to run the country or the democratic right to membership of rival political organizations to become personal issues. At the end of the day, we are concerned about our country and which party has the better vision to lead it after the next elections,” Prudent said.

“In the months and years ahead, I look forward to proving that my many years of active involvement in Saint Lucian politics from 1982 to the present and the invaluable experience I have gained working in diverse parts of the world makes me, and the LPM, more worthy of moving our country forward,” Prudent added.

  1. It would be wise for Allen to consider Prudent, as the LPM have lots of good ideas but no clout.

    • How can Allen consider Mr. Prudent when Mr. Prudent has made it abundantly clear that his mission is not about opportunism? Wasn't he a life long UWP and front man for that party? Didn't he leave? What is he suppose to be returning too?
You could to like this about the gentleman. He says what he means and means what he says.Kudos!

  2. I think it would be a mistake for Mr Prudent to do so. My advise to him is to stay the course and don't give up. It much to early for to join the Chastanet bangwagon. The wheels are not properly fastened.

    There is more to come.

  3. After so many years of singing for his UWP supper, Therold might as well abandon these LPM charades and join that party already!!!
