PRESS RELEASE – In keeping with its commitment to effective and far-reaching marketing, Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia has recently concluded one of it its largest campaigns for the most part of the last decade.
The event, which lasted from April 19 to May 3, 2014, covered video and still imagery of all three Sandals properties in the country – all echoed by the beauty and magnificent landscape of St. Lucia.
Regional Director for Sandals Resorts International in the Eastern Caribbean Jeremy Jones said the project serves to underline Sandals’ continued leadership in marketing and tourism in the Caribbean.
He said, “It is important to keep guests updated on changes made to our properties and to maintain their interests in the Sandals product.”
The commercials and images generated from the mega shoot will be used in marketing campaigns around the globe, which are guaranteed to maximize the reach of not only the resorts on island, but also the destination as a whole.
“We don’t just sell a resort, we sell a destination,” Jones said.
A crew of more than 50 people from the Miami advertising company Hunter Hammersmith executed the project. Among them were over a dozen recognised North American models known not only for their physical appeal, but also for their exceptional poise and association with first-class products.
Sandals employees from line staff and butlers all the way up to senior management were also given an opportunity at international popularity by being featured in various scenes of films. Even guests on the properties were given the opportunity to be a part of the shoots, filling the roles of extras.
Employment on the island also received a boost with over a score of casual labourers not only getting exposed to the inner workings of world-class advertising, but earning a solid wage in the process.
The overall scope of the project looked to encompass the architecture of each property through “live” shoots and “lifestyle” photo shoots, and also included signature areas on the properties like the main pool, the beach, the pool bar, the lobby, the Millionaire Suites, the Rondoval, the Swim-up Suites, Lagoon Pool, Spa Therapy, Concierge, the English Pubs and more. The newest additions like Gordon’s Restaurant over at the Sandals Grande and Kelly’s Dockside Restaurant at the Sandals Halcyon that have yet to grace the international stage, were also featured.
The latest in imagery technology was also utilised during this exercise with an eye-catching aerial drone capturing the stunning beauty of Sandals and St. Lucia from the wonders of the sky.
