Several LIME customers had a merrier Christmas thanks to their winnings from Saint Lucia’s and the Caribbean’s leading telecommunications service provider.
For at least one customer, becoming a winner in the $500,000 BIG Money Everyday Giveaway was also a birthday present!
Kernysha Elien was awarded $1,000 in cash and $500 worth of groceries from Super J IGA on the eve of her very auspicious 18th birthday, 25 December.
“I’m really excited about this,” says the second-year student at Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. “I was looking forward to my birthday, of course, it’s an extra-special day. Even though I got a part-time job at Super J through the NICE programme, though, I wasn’t really expecting anything big. But this is BIG, for sure!”
Kernysha, who is originally from Laborie, qualified for a chance to win by making a call lasting at least five minutes from her prepaid phone.
Also winning was Leo Castaing, who topped up at least $15 on his mobile phone. Although he’s well shy of his 60th birthday, Leo points out that just a few months ago he would not have been in this position. Leo was resident in the United States for several decades, and just a few months ago, he retired from his job as bus driver in New York City.
“Obviously, this money comes at a great time,” he explains. “The wife will certainly make good use of it. In fact, she’s been asking about the presentation so she can go do some shopping.”
Babonneau resident Neilan Melius was actually surprised by the LIME team at his workplace, sitting atop a backhoe on a lot he was clearing in Rodney Heights.
“Dawg, that money come at the perfect time,” he says. “I was down to my last $20, but now I will really enjoy the season with my boys.”
The 25-year-old entered the promotion by topping up his prepaid phone, and according to him, he had just done so earlier that morning.
“You know I have to make my calls for the season, so I just put $25 on my phone, that’s why I’m so broke.”
Brenda Joseph of La Croix Maingot, meanwhile, paid her landline bill on time and in full and ended up a winner. Her brother Jesle came to collect on her behalf, but he was as happy as if he had won it himself. Naturally, the family enjoyed a very merry Christmas.
“It was good,” Brenda tells us. “The money came in very handy; it came at just the right time, and I have to say thanks to LIME for making me one of the dozens of winners in this great promotion.”
Other BIG Money winners this week included 29-year-old Sewan Serieux of Patience, Mon Repos, and 28-year-old Mary Attie of Francious, Choiseul.
LIME customers will continue winning into 2013 by topping up their prepaid phones, making calls lasting at least five minutes, sending at least 10 text messages in a given day, or paying any LIME bill in full and on time.
“January is normally a difficult month for most people,” opines Laurencia Cadette, LIME Head of Marketing & Communications. “For several members of the LIME family, we will be making it a lot easier, and all they have to do is talk, text, TopUp or clear their bills. It’s that easy!”
