PRESS RELEASE – In June 2013, LIME became the first mobile provider in Saint Lucia to offer its customers 4G speeds, via an HSPA+ network.

Now, Saint Lucia and the Caribbean’s leading telecommunications provider is taking steps to beef up 4G coverage, increasing the network capacity and delivering the service islandwide. The company aims to have all towns, districts and commercial centres with 4G before the end of 2014.

LIME began laying the groundwork for the expansion of 4G coverage to other parts of Saint Lucia soon after the launch of the service last year, and plans to have 100 percent of the population with 4G coverage in 2014. Customers in 4G areas with compatible phones and devices have access to speeds that are the fastest in the country, and among the fastest in many parts of the world.

“As customers demand more and more data, we are upgrading and expanding our 4G mobile network this year.“ said Geraldine Pitt, CEO LIME Southern Cluster. “These investments will allow us to meet and surpass our customers’ expectations.

“We recognise there isn’t just a demand but a need for faster data speeds and more bandwidth, especially with sophisticated smartphones becoming more commonplace. Our customers are using more data than ever, far more than on any other network. As we increase 4G capacity on the network, this experience will only get better and boost the quality of our customers’ experience.”

With LIME’s superfast 4G connection, customers can experience the web like never before. When in a coverage area it allows you to enjoy faster data speeds and quicker access to the Internet, watch videos at blazing speeds, simultaneously browse the web while making a call, send email, download photos, apps and music at lightning speeds, even conduct videoconferences on their phones, plus much more.

Customers with 3G and EDGE compatible phones can still use them on LIME’s network. They’ll see a vast improvement on their current data mobile experience up to the optimum level of their specific handsets.

  1. I rather faster Broadband service instead of the 1, 2, 3, 4MB of download speeds of crap that you're currently offering at such high cost.

    And if you do not do something about it very soon, you will lose this base of customers that you (LIME) is taking for granted to other competitors on the market.

    I am so ready to shift to "FLOW" and take full advantage of their lightening fast broadband service over yours, as soon as they are in my area.

      • I rather experience the "Horror" stories than allowing "Lime" to dictate how many years it will take me to download 2GB of data on its broad-band service.

        The only difference is that, Lime has a superior customer service call center, that one has access 24hrs, 7days a week.
        That's pretty much it.
