PRESS RELEASE – Saint Lucia’s national senior men’s football team is in St Kitts-Nevis for the 2014 Caribbean Cup Tournament, and Saint Lucia and the Caribbean’s leading telecommunications provider, LIME, is joining the team!
The Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre will be the staging ground for the competition which will feature six matches, starting on Wednesday 3rd September.
The tournament is organized by the Caribbean Football Union (CFU).
Four of the Caribbean’s top teams, namely Saint Lucia, Guyana, Dominica, and host country St Kitts-Nevis, will compete for the top two spots in Zone Six in a bid to to move on to the next stage of the tournament.
LIME is providing the Saint Lucian squad with uniforms and free mobile credit for the trip.

After winning the Windward Islands Tournament earlier this year, and with the recent example of our Under-17’s advancing to the next round of qualifying for the 2015 World Cup, we know we have a lot to live up to, but with good preparation and support from the public and companies like LIME, we are ready to represent.”
Over the years LIME has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of local football teams and tournaments, including the annual Blackheart Kashif/Shanghai football competition of which it has been a longstanding sponsor.
In April, LIME TV, Saint Lucia’s leading digital TV provider televised all the World Cup matches from Brazil, ensuring viewers were able to follow all the exciting action in real time and support their favourite teams.
