LIME and The Wave team up for carnival’s sexiest party

PRESS RELEASE – The 2014 Saint Lucia carnival season has begun and the action promises to be hot as LIME and the Wave team up for OUTRAGEOUS Sexy in Black, the most anticipated fete for the season.

The Wave is celebrating its 14th anniversary this year and in celebration of this momentous event, the radio station is looking to stage the best OUTRAGEOUS Sexy in Black party ever and take the fun and excitement up a notch! The show is scheduled for Friday, July 18 at the Gaiety on Rodney Bay.

Dubbed the ‘sexiest party for fun-loving folk’ in search of the biggest thrill for the final weekend of carnival, this year OUTRAGEOUS Sexy in Black will feature a star-studded line-up comprising of some of Trinidad & Tobago’s and Saint Lucia’s top soca artistes.

They include soca superstar star Bunji Garlin, whose career has soared internationally since the release of his popular hit, ‘Differentology (Ready For The Road).’ His upcoming album is soon to be released through a joint venture between RCA Records and Queens, New York-based reggae independent VP Records.

Joining him will be his wife and co-performer, Fay Ann Lyons Alvarez who is a three-time Trinidad & Tobago Carnival Road March Champion and the 2009 International Soca Monarch and International Groovy Soca Monarch champion.

“As Saint Lucia’s value champion, we are always eager to support the island’s rich culture through events like OUTRAGEOUS Sexy in Black that brings Saint Lucians together so they can have a great time,” said LIME Corporate Communications Executive, Terry Finisterre. “Everything we do is geared towards delivering value, along with the best service, super savings and great deals.”

Sue Monplaisir, country manager for The Wave, said: “We are delighted to have LIME on board as a partner once again. As always, their support makes a big difference in the ultimate success of the show and it is appreciated all the more this year as we are looking to take the event to the next level. We urge fans to come out in large numbers because this is going to be one of the biggest and best ever!”

  1. People people if thats how these women wants to dress let them.Thats their choice if they dont respect themselves thats their perogative. You see todays women some of them have no class whatsoever ok.A woman can be sexcy without putting on those skinppy outfits they are living nothing for the imagination thats how our women think.
The Lucian women should not be for sale smh.

  2. What is it about dancing naked, or almost naked, in public that attracts so many women year after year? Some women would go without food just to find the money to spend on an 'itsy-bitsy,teeny-weeny' outfit for carnival.

  3. I just feel that women are in most instances destroying their own image.
I am also fearful that perhaps those women would be incapable of raising any children (especially little girls)

St. Lucian women need to "UP" their standard to earn their keeps.

And the Business Houses love to use women as spawn to get a Buck or 2.

It's a damn shame to Both Business houses who have gone this far exploiting those women.

        • As usual, you are abetting the immorality and degradation of women in our society.
Perhaps you're a two dollar whore.
Sell your snatch somewhere else, slut.
          No one is buying.

  5. FYI Anonymous though i don't already own a similar piece, i am now inclined to change that as this indirect form of advertising has me sold! Seeing as I am an adult and fully capable of making my own fashion choices without seeking consent or approval from anyone. May-be you should get into the habit of respecting individuals rights and freedoms and refrain from imposing your personal beliefs and opinions on them.I love being a resident of a democratic country...let freedom abound!!!

    • I concur!! they way somebody dresses says nothing, cuz the amount of women I know that look or dress respectable and have no problem sleeping around or with somebody elses husband, does that mean jus becuz u dressed a certain way u selling flesh we have to do away with that backward mentality1

      • WHAT NONSENCE YOU YOURSELF TALKING ABT THE WAY PEOPLE DRESS SAY NOTHING SO IF YOU GO TO AN INTERVIEW AT SANDALS HOTEL AND YOU DRESS LIKE THAT IT WILL NOT SAY NOTHING CHOOPS SMH

        • That's why a standard is a standard. It should represent the ideal and not be based on what every and anybody thinks. Just think how lawless society would be without any standard or morals (even religiosity side). Even though some "look or dress respectable and have no problem sleeping around or with somebody elses husband" doesn't make it right.
... and just to say, you really hardly see men exposing themselves like that, honestly (unless they're strippers or showing off some abs). But to be showing of their butt and stuff, i don't know, at least i haven't seen it. A sad state of affairs I think. To me the way you dress says something about your modesty or lack thereof and your mindset to some extent.

      • Puzzled do you know why you are puzzled. It is because you are veryyyyyyyyyy SHALLOW. What is so forward about dressing half naked to walk the streets. A woman would not dress in a skimpy outfit if she does not want attention.

  6. ‘How a female dresses is her advertisement. If a female shows half of her body, she’s asking to be disrespected. If she dresses classy, expect to be treated like a lady. How you’re addressed lies on your attire. Sexy is a spirit, not an outfit.’ - Floyd Mayweather

  8. The women have it and they want to flaunt it so why shouldn't they. It isn't like they're attired in that manner at church or at the workplace. The title of the event warrants their dress code. Its dubbed "Sexy in Black" and the women are sexy in black! Lucian people stop with ur'll foolishness about how men won't respect them and only want one night stands. Newsflash for ur'll, sometimes women want just the same as there does exist educated and independent women who may only need a man for the sexual services he may be able to offer. Furthermore, more often than nought, women go out clubbing and partying with the sole purpose of having a good time with their gal pals, and not necessarily with the intention of hooking up with or meeting any man. Just because a man wants to take her home for the night does not mean he will succeed. There's nothing wrong with dressing seductively as there is a time and place for everything. I bet they make their own money, pay their own bills, have their own rides so who are you all to tell them how they should or should not dress. If ur'll don't like the way they look when you see them, then focus your attention elsewhere. You girls rock those outfits! Slim an no fe worry bout gym...haha. Looking goooood!!!
