Labour Party to hold Island-wide town-hall meetings

On Thursday, April 4, the Saint Labour Party (SLP) holds the first in a series of town-hall meetings to be held at venues around the country.

Thursday’s town-hall session is to be hosted in the constituency of Vieux Fort North at the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) in Bellevue and is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Prime Minister Kenny D. Anthony along with Vieux Fort North MP, Hon. Moses Jn. Baptiste, will be present to discuss issues of both national and constituency interest.

The town-hall meetings will be open to all persons in the constituency where they are being held.

The town-hall session is expected to provide a forum for citizens around the country to get first-hand briefings by ministers and parliamentarians on government policies and programmes while being afforded the opportunity to seek clarification on issues of interest.

The SLP expects to hold at least two town-hall sessions per month.

The next town-hall will be hosted in the constituency of Soufriere/Fond St. Jacques.
