PRESS RELEASE – On Saturday 8th November the Laborie Boys Primary School Auditorium will stage the official launching of one of the leading newly formed youth Cultural organizations “Moko-Flixs Entertainment”.
This historic Launching will feature speech presentations on the history of the Organization, and an over view of programs and activities undertaken by the organization since its inception.
Members will be awarded trophies and be acknowledged for outstanding performances in various Categories’ and a special highlight for the Founders of the organization who have contributed and have excelled during the groups existence.
The ceremony will also feature performances from the 2013 Piton Soca Stars Winner “Soca Bandit”, 2013 Youth Fest Finalist Jane Johnson and the energetic and vibrant VIDA Dance Academy.
Moko-Flixs Entertainment is a Cultural organization that is dedicated to the art form of stilt walking and cultural arts preservation.
Moko-Flixs Entertainment originated from the cultural community of Laborie with its mandate, which is to use its talents to inspire the nation and community, to promote and preserve the cultural heritage, while striving for excellence in the area of Stilts which is indigenous to the community.
Moko-Flixs is dedicated in the art form of stilt walking and cultural Arts as a medium for youth development.
Presently Moko-Flixs Entertainment has a membership of 35 Stilt walkers which comprise of ages from 4years and 22 years old and can boast of having, the Most Female Stilt walkers on the island, the tallest Female Stilts walker on the Island, the Youngest Stilt Walker on the island and having the tallest combination of Stilts.
This launch promises to celebrate a milestone of achievement by the brave youth of Laborie who have decided to create an avenue for the youth of Laborie through the creation of this organization.
