PRESS RELEASE – Renowned Journalist and President of the Media Association of Saint Lucia (MASL), Clinton L. Reynolds is back in Prime Time!
Reynolds takes up his duties as host of the weekly MBC Talk Show, “Current Affairs” starting Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 8:30P.M. right after the MBC/REAL FM Evening news.
Reynolds has had extensive experience in media in Saint Lucia, the wider region and the world. He started his broadcasting career in 1995 as a News Reporter at Radio Saint Lucia and has served as the Editor/News Director at Helen Television System (HTS), and Deputy News Director and Talk Show Host at Daher Broadcasting Service (DBS). He has also worked affiliates of ABC and NPR in the United States.
“Current Affairs” is a 90-minute talk show which places an emphasis on detailed analysis and discussion of events that have recently occurred or are ongoing, and is geared towards expanding the discourse on topics of existing cultural, political, and social importance to the population. The show will seek to be different, engaging guests and the public every week in discussions that are intelligent and informative.
Reynolds says he is ecstatic about taking on this new challenge and being back on air to deliver quality programming.
“This is a great opportunity for me to build on the work that I have done in media both here and overseas, and deliver to my audiences the quality of product that they always expect from me,” he says. “I know there’ll be a bit of rust to shake off, but while I’m in the saddle, it’s going to be full throttle.”
“Current Affairs” opens up this Tuesday with a discussion on crime, violence and governance with Pathologist, Youth Advocate and Independent Senator, Dr. Stephen King. The programme airs on MBC Television and Real FM: LIME channels 27 & 42; Flow channels 52 & 120 and Real FM 91.3 & 91.5.
