(JAMAICA GLEANER) — The woman who was arrested for the abduction of a newborn from the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston on January 9 has been charged with baby stealing by the police.

Peta-gaye Ffrench, 28, was positively identified when she faced an identification parade yesterday afternoon.

Ffrench, who lives in Harkers Hall, St Catherine, was taken into custody by the police last Tuesday after she aroused suspicion while attempting to register the child’s birth at the Registrar General’s Department in Twickenham Park, St Catherine.

Newborn Sae’breon Hutton was reunited with his parents last Friday after a DNA test confirmed that he was the stolen baby.
