(JAMAICA OBSERVER) — Fate played its hand for long-time Lotto player, F Blackwood, who will be counting blessings, along with $85 million, as Supreme Ventures’ latest Lotto winner.

Blackwood has been playing Lotto since the number game was introduced to Jamaica, and hit it big on Saturday, June 16 with lucky numbers 04, 09, 12, 19, 26 and 30 for draw number #1481.

The ticket was purchased at Greg Chung Texaco in White River in Ocho Rios, St Ann. After checking the 64 tickets he purchased, it was discovered that Blackwood was in possession of the winning numbers.

“I don’t really watch the draw, I was watching [World Cup] football and the draw came on afterwards. I heard the announcement during the draw that the winning ticket was bought in White River, Ocho Rios and I had reason to check the ticket based on that announcement. I went right away to look at the numbers online, and then went through the tickets. It was the last ticket at the bottom that had the winning numbers,” Blackwood said.

“We’re still pinching ourselves. All now it hasn’t come to me like it really happened,” he added.
